AZ FRAG August Meeting
Sat, Aug 17th, 2024 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (MST)
Location: Fate Brewing Company - Scottsdale, 1312 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 (Scottsdale Rd & McDowell)

Our next meeting is in the "Barrel Room" at Fate Brewing Company in south Scottsdale, and will take place from 2-4PM.

The agenda for this meeting:

• Opening announcements
• Microscope Lab Session conducted by @Pwhitby and Pods & Phyto Preso by @ajtomase
• Raffle! Pods and Phyto from Bulldawg Reef
• Coral Auction

For the lab session, please bring in samples for microscope investigation. These can include, but not limited to, skimmate (take a swipe from the neck of your skimmer), sand, rock rubble, etc. Also, if you've got some mystery algae that's been plaguing you, bring it for ID! The same applies for unknown diatoms or dinoflagellates.

Any registered club member can attend and bring their corals/frags to sell in the auction. We do ask that each member bring no more than 20 items, and they must be listed here in this thread by 10PM Friday the 16th. Please provide a line description and a starting bid. Pictures are helpful if you have them! The auction list will be compiled later and be posted on Saturday.

And just a FYI for anyone who has been battling stringy, bubbly dinoflagellates. I’ve just beat that particular form that has plagued my 6 month old frag tank into submission. They are most definitely gone. Hit me up at the meeting if anyone wants to know how I did it in detail.
