Can anyone help me make a sump?

Can someone help me make a sump? I have an ATO and a nano skimmer and I would like to swap off my canister filter. Plus my ato i kinda cant use it on my tank and the sump is going to be out of I think a 2.5 gal tank to fit inside my square stand

How big is the stand? I have some old square-shaped sumps from a tank I had a long timer ago. The sumps are about 1.75in square and are tall. Ther are two - one sump can accommodate a skimmer and a return chamber while the other is more of a refugium. That can be used as a single unite (plumbed togher) or each one could be use as a stand alone sump.

Are are some drawing I have of these sumps form when I had them made, like 10 years ago.

The stand is the pedestal from Aqueon. It’s their 15x15 but inside looks about 12x12.

hmm...probably better off using a small tank, or getting something acrylic used at the place in Tempe that sells used stuff.
