AZ FRAG December Meeting
Sat, Dec 9th, 2023 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (MST)
Location: Fate Brewing Company - Scottsdale, 1312 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257 (Scottsdale Rd & McDowell)

Our next meeting will be back in the "Barrel Room" at Fate Brewing Company in south Scottsdale. It's our biggest one of the year!

Meeting rough agenda:
  • 2:00 - Welcome and introductions
  • 2:15 - "Secret Santa" Frag Exchange returns! See more info below on how this works.
  • 2:45 - Our annual elections
  • 3:00 - OUR ANNUAL RAFFLE DRAWING! AWESOME PRIZES BELOW!
  • 3:10 - The usual frag auction, if anyone wishes to bring items to sell. Any registered club member can bring their corals/frags to sell in the auction. We do ask that each member bring no more than 20 items, and they must be listed here in this thread by 8PM Friday. Please provide a line description and a starting bid. Pictures are helpful if you have them! The auction list will be compiled on Saturday morning.
AZ FRAG Secret Santa
We will have the Secret Santa again. If you would like to play please bring a nice frag (no gag frags like Anthelia, Xenia , GSP, Blue Cloves, Aiptasia) for the game. Please label your cup with the coral name/description only! You do not need to wrap your frag. Put the frag in a small container or styro cup. Then give it to us so we can put it in a bag and set up at the front. *New this year: we will have the means to indicate the type of frag in each bag; ie - LPS, SPS, softie, zoa* When we are ready, everyone participating will draw a number and lowest number picks first. When you choose, you can pick an unopened frag off the table or steal someone’s frag. We will do our best to announce what each container holds as it's picked and opened off the table. It's up to you to remember who picked what if you wish to steal. Each frag may be stolen up to three times. After an item is stolen three times, it can no longer be stolen and remains with that person. You are also not permitted to steal back an item which was just stolen from you; you may steal it back however if you've had another item in the interim. Whoever goes first has the option to take an additional turn after the person with the highest number has taken their turn.

AZ FRAG Board Member Election
This will be our eleventh annual election for the board of AZ FRAG. There will be five positions to be voted upon (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Corresponding Secretary). If you would like to nominate yourself or if you would like to nominate someone else please do so in this thread below.

Is the 2024 schedule determined yet? I couldn’t find anything about it on the site.

I am unsure. I assume the meetings will continue to be on the third Saturday of every month tho. Or maybe it was the second.
