My name is Steve Dick. I’ve been reefing for over 30 years now. My first invertebrates were red mushrooms that I kept alive with plant grow lights.
Upgraded to some 100w 5500k metal halides I found in the back of FAMA. Was growing softies and lps like heliofungia really well through the early 90s.
Moved to Phoenix 23 years ago and had a very successful 100g tank powered by two 400w MH pendants.
Moved around to Denver and Tampa and always had some sort of reef going.
Finally made it back to Phoenix 5 years ago and after a short stent with a Red Sea started building my current tank. It’s a 60x40x30 peninsula.
I built this tank to be my retirement tank that would last until I moved to Florida and downsized so it needs to last at least 15 years.
I’ll start moving pictures over from R2R as I don’t use that site any longer.
