As the title says, I've got some original Pukani dry rock for sale. It hasn't been available on the market since 2016 when Fiji closed down rock collecting there. The supply that BRS, Premium Aquatics and Aqua Cave had on hand was quickly depleted and then it was no more.

Pukani is the absolute most porous, least dense rock there is, 100 lbs of it is an amazing volume. Through some tense negotiating on my behalf, I bought approx 1000 lbs of it from an acquaintance of mine and this weekend I am going to acquire the rest of his stock that he has had for perhaps 10 years, most of it has not been out of the shipping crate. We have estimated there will be a total of 2000-2500 lbs in total, and I can't possibly use it all lol.

These pieces include fist sizes all the way up to about 25lbs. It is amazing stuff for sure. Kris (Waterlogged in the club) came over to check it out not long ago and was quite impressed with it. There is no comparison with Pukani and any of the rock on the market, Caribsea, Marcorock etc. It is 100% calcium carbonate coral skeleton.

This thread is going to be a work in progress, I'll get some photos posted with prices soon.

Thanks for reading, Keith

Whew I'm glad this weekend is over with, Lisa and I moved another 1048 lbs of Pukani rock and we are beat! We did get the last of it though and we're happy with that. It is truly amazing rock that has to be seen and handled in person to appreciate it. The pieces are so porous and full of cavities that it weighs hardly anything.

This is 1048 lbs and is HALF of what I have. I'm still working on pricing so please bear with me.IMG_9907.jpegIMG_9899.jpeg

This large shelf is kind of neat, I think about setting this up as a table mid height in the tank and mounting a bunch of SPS frags to it.

There is no shortage of it, in all shapes and sizes. I even have a few full buckets of the rubble that was in the bottom of the crate when we emptied it out. I’ll be asking $8 lb for the Pukani. I’m certain everyone who sorts through the pile will find its lighter than it looks.

I’d consider a hand picked selection of these a “forever collection” because it’s not likely Pukani will ever be exported again. Once in a while you can find it for sale when someone breaks a tank down but my Pukani is unique because it’s never been in an aquarium straight from the shipping crate. These are truly pieces of artwork.

This is how we found the rock when we purchased it.
